So true. :)

I recognize the Mr. Hyde within myself that wants to be lazy, wants to self-destruct. While I know I really should get some work done, I don't do.

I think it's very simple - you just have to do it. You can. But as long as you're giving in to this little voice, telling yourself you can't, or that it's so hard, it'll be a self-furfilling prophecy. At least it 'worked' for me so far...

Thanks for the encouraging article. I'm getting busy at the very moment. :)

There is that common statement, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail". I've heard it before, and it is a nice reminder, but your post shows that it isn't always in planning that we decide to fail.

If I could summarize it, I'd say "Acceptance of mediocrity is a failure to achieve excellence."

I think it needs work. B-)

Once I did more push-ups than I originally thought I would be able to do. It was a great feeling because I was proving someone wrong. It was weird because that someone was me.

I did the same with coding. I once thought that I couldn't figure out some aspect of my project, but then I stuck with it for a few hours.

It's very motivating to "ignore the hell out of" that voice. It simply feels great to be able to say, "Hah! You said I couldn't do it, but I did it!"
