I usually don’t post quick things like this, but I just found something too beautiful not to post.

www.dreamofdoll.com - hit the English link in the lower right.
I’ve never seen anything like this before. The craftsmanship is amazing. I’ve never seen hair and eyes that good on anything that wasn’t actually a person. Here are some of my favorite images:
Take a look around the rest of the site… BIG images, and everything they have is absolutely amazing. I can’t believe something this good exists. Beautiful, just beautiful.

I agree that these are really well executed dolls. It’s strange to see how many westerners become fascinated with them; they are too expensive and fetishistic for most Japanese to even register them on their radar.

Really? That’s weird. I’m absolutely in love with these. Once I can get my disposable income to an acceptably high level I may buy one or two.
I’m a HUGE fan of Mike James’s resin sculptures (http://www.jamesart.com/kits.html) but I hate that I have to assemble and paint them myself. They’re beautiful, but there’s NO way. I like that Dream of Dolls will do it for me.
