Yes, that's the same Douglas Shuler. Absolutely amazing artist, and I couldn't recommend him enough to anyone, for anything. He's a world-class talent that I have nothing but respect for. Working with his concepts is one of the highlights of my career. :)

And no, there's no relation to Brian Jones, thankfully. My experience with him was the inverse of Doug's, in every respect. Ping me through email and I'll go into more detail.

Thanks for the kind words! And yeah, I know, Chad the animator didn't want to rig and animate four arms, so Doug's concept lost out. Oh well. ;)

I take it that is Douglas Shuler of "Magic the Gathering" fame? Is the Brian Jones any relation to you?

Nice work! You forgot two of the four tentacles on that one beastie, though!
;-P

It was one of the funnest things I've ever done. Very casual, low-pressure, intensely rewarding work with people I've known and respected for years. It's one of the high points of my career in terms of happiness and personal satisfaction. I just wish I could remember actually having done any of it. :P

Now I want it to come out now so I can hold the box in my hands!
